In the race for the best fundraising campaign on behalf of SOS Children's Villages Worldwide, BorgWarner has claimed first place, closely followed by PageGroup.

In Frankfurt two weeks ago, the winners’ representatives accepted a certificate awarded by SOS Children’s Villages as a symbol of appreciation and gratitude to their extremely dedicated and motivated employees. "The most creative and successful corporate engagement ideas often come from staff. It is so exciting to see the passion, imagination and energy that both partners’ employees applied to initiate fundraising activities and raise valuable donations for children in need. Doing good together became a true team experience for people from BorgWarner and PageGroup and this has provided valuable support to our program work around the world. Thank you very much!” said Nadja Malak, Head of Corporate Partners at SOS Children's Villages Worldwide.

Whether running, organizing a flea market or introducing a "Creativity Challenge" in different company departments - the possibilities for employee engagement for the good cause were manifold and there were no limits to creativity.

BorgWarner employees in Mexico, for example, launched a monthly fundraising campaign on behalf of SOS Children's Villages. Each department was very creative in developing a special event such as a cake fight, a FIFA football tournament or a food bazaar. In Korea, on the other hand, BorgWarner employees set up a charity café and a flea market.

PageGroup employees were very active for children in need by running for the good cause. For every kilometer run, a certain amount was donated to SOS Children’s Villages. The PageGroup team also came up with the idea of triggering a donation for a specific number of successful job placements.

The opportunities for employee engagement are numerous. Creativity and ingenuity limitless. The two winners of the SOS Team Challenge 2018 and all participating employees show that together and with joint forces, great things can be achieved for SOS Children's Villages.
